My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of former model/actress Kim Porter, who died at the age of 47. Ms. Porter leaves behind 4 children, three with rap mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs and one child by R&B singer Al B. Sure, as well as other family and friends.

With this heartbreaking news as well as other terrible news we hear daily, it made me think about how we must practice being thankful. Lets be thankful for all we have and where we are in life.
