Guest: Gabrielle Andrew, Founder of Cape Camino Host: Linzi Bourhill, Cape Talk, Late Nights Show Topic: Cape Camino It is inspired by the Spanish pilgrimage route Camino de Santiago, the Cape Camino walk starts from Cape Town’s north to Cape Point in the south, and it is divided into seven sections of 20km each. The full Cape Camino route is about 160km long (the Camino de Santiago is about 600km) but it’s designed to be walked in seven sections, or legs, of about 16-25km. To be the member of the Cape Camino, there is a joining fee of R300 that you pay annually. The Camino guides, hosts and transport providers come from diverse backgrounds. One major objective about the Cape Camino is to encourage the micro businesses.
