The Social Security Agency SASSA only has about a month until a new grant payment system is in place. The agency says it is making progress to ensure the payment of grants is in-sourced.

One of SASSA's key goals is to manage and pay social grants without the use of a third party contractor as is currently the case. It has already made direct transfers into approximately 2,4 million personal bank accounts for March 2018.
