Workers belonging to the major union at Northam Platinum say they won't resume work at its Zondereinde mine in Limpopo until arrests are made for a spate of murders. The National Union of Mineworkers has also resolved at a mass meeting that Northam should stop holding talks with rival AMCU, which has a minority representation at the mine. The platinum producer suspended operations on Monday after a worker was fatally stabbed in clashes between members of the two unions.
