Bank customers in South Africa continue to experience fraud at the hands of criminal syndicates. Criminals still find it easy to commit crime by trapping your card in the ATM's card reader. This gives the customer the impression that the machine has swallowed the card. By trapping your card in the ATM's card reader, they are apparently able to watch you key in your PIN from a distance. While you are entering your PIN, the person memorises it and, once you have left, they remove your card, and are able to access your account.
