In the wake of the countrywide destruction and vandalism of statues representing South Africa's colonial history, the forum @ 8 focuses on transformation. While various political parties have condemned the events - a debate is ensuing on the significance of the calls to remove all such statues. Lobby group AfriForum say the removal of the statues will polarize South African communities even further. These statues are suddenly on the agenda following the Rhodes Must Fall Campaign.
