Yesterday, Eskom has started rolling blackouts across the country, due to the loss of 1 800 Mega Watts at the Majuba power station. The power Utility has implemented rotational load shedding, to deal with damages that were caused by the collapse of its coal storage silo at the Majuba power station in Mpumalanga.Residents in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, and Cape Town have experienced power cuts.
