Today's episode is a little more technical discussion about bad electric panels.

Reuben starts by clarifying the position of home inspectors in giving recommendations about household hazards. He debunks reviews about challenger panels while Tessa goes over some articles and blogs about them. Bill highlights that service panels are not expensive to replace or upgrade.

They talk about challenger panels possibly being hazardous correlates to Zinsco,  overheating, being extinct and the recommended age for replacement, sparks when turning on the microwave, rotting and overloading, being a forbidden breaker that is a violation of the electric code, and being outlawed. They also talked about other panels that have a history of tripping, are old or outdated, and the ones that are always recommended to be replaced.
