We have a way of measuring our performance, our identity, and even our value and worth in comparison to others. We learn by comparing, but when we start to compare ourselves with others, our ego gets involved. It wants us to be exalted over another person. Envy, jealousy, pride and anger are fruits that come from comparison. Comparison is the death of contentment. It causes us to resent God's goodness in others’ lives and ignore God's blessing in our own life.
