Formerly known as The Best of Flem, this year the task of curating a collection of Dave's best work fell to Ally, who promptly renamed it: The Best of Davey 2020. Will Brutus or Rufus win the top prize of 2020? Or will it be Rob Base, DK Metcalf, Scottie Pippen, an NFL scouting myth, or, perhaps, a certain Rainbow Baby who gave us the Rae of hope we all needed in 2020? For the first time the annual end-of-the-year list also includes a look into Dave's TV and ESPN Daily pod work as well as a list of "Classic Davey" stories (on arson, Big Foot, Belichick and more) that were re-published this year. (Unfortunately, we taped too early to include Lamar Jackson's recent revival of the classic Tao of Poo Body Issue story.) But, there's an on-going beef with a Sasquatch investigator, a list of subjects Dave made cry in 2020 and Ally's attempt to recreate what she calls "Davey's fake Forensic Files TV voice..."
