I just read a few minutes ago that Hunter Biden’s jury in his trial had found him guilty on all the counts he had been charged with, and it only took them three hours to do so.

I must admit, I am surprised. I figured with Biden being his last name it would have been an automatic acquittal, especially in Delaware. The judge will deal with the sentencing at a later date. The maximum sentence for the three counts he was tried for is 25 years.

I can hardly picture anyone named Biden going to the slammer for that amount of time. Those kinds of things don’t happen in “our democracy.” If his last name had been Trump, then I could picture the maximum sentence being imposed, but not for a Biden or a Clinton or any of their elite buddies. Those people don’t do jail time or, if they do, it’s the bare minimum – just enough so they can claim they’ve paid their debt to society.

So, we’ll see what sentence the judge imposes when the time comes, whether it’s something substantial or something that won’t amount to a hill of beans. In all honesty, I expect the latter and I will be really surprised if it’s the former. I’d love to be wrong, and it wouldn’t be the first time. But, based on past performances with the political elites, I can’t see any Biden or Clinton, no matter how egregious their crimes are, remotely being called on in this life to pay for those crimes.

Watching over 50 years of political chicanery has made me a thoroughgoing pessimist when it comes to political culprits paying for their sins.

So, we’ll see when Hunter’s sentencing time rolls around.
