Time for Group Therapy Thursday sponsored by Paladino's Cicero Pizza!
Dear Ted and Amy,13 years ago I left a lucrative job in Florida, and moved to North Carolina to care for my Mom. I lived with and cared for her for 12 years - even cashing in two 401ks to pay off her medical bills and redo her house. My life became hers. I never had a day off to myself. I was always taking her to doctor appointments, or whatever she needed and working 50-60 hours a week, on top of being a full-time caregiver. I have 3 siblings who did nothing for her - it was all me. When she died, she left a small life insurance policy to me. When I moved from NC I left my most precious things with a sibling’s daughter to pick them up later. Now that family took those things and will not give them back until they get their "share" of the money. I want to sue them to get my things back. Do you think they deserve any money? Signed,
