Art Ramirez gives us his complete life story, from his first experiments with bondo at 11 years old, to selling Glow sticks as a Carni, and how he eventually became the Skrap Father. Born in Mexico and not knowing English when he came to the United States Art was faced with many challenges, but a chance encounter with the public library when he was very young, solidified a life long love of books, and education that finally earned him a GED as well as a Highschool Diploma. Though he took an extensive course on welding and graduated top of his class, he was not able to obtain a welding license from the state, do to his immigration status.
