Ephesians 4:1-6 can be summarized with this idea: It is vital that we as the church live in unity! We saw in v. 1 that There is a Command for Life, which is to live our lives worth of the calling that has come with our salvation. Now, in verses 2-3 we note that Our Life In the Church Should Bear Certain Characteristics: a) humility, b) gentleness, c) patience, d) bearing with one another in love, which results in e) being eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
