In vv. 1-16 we see 1) The People of God may be confident of victory over those who threaten God’s program of blessing. 

In today's episode we continue to develop this theme as we pick it up with v. 8. We see the battle itself in vv. 8-12, then the response to that battle and why it is that Abram entered into the conflict. This is a good time to explore the concept of when it is appropriate to enter into conflict. Obviously, we don't want to go looking for conflict, but when it comes to us, we must be ready for it.

Then, in vv. 13-16 we see Abram's response that "Believers must use what God has given them to champion the cause of righteousness."
