We have seen up to this point:

1) God’s Word is Revealed – 15:1, 4-5, 7, 9-10, 13-16

2) Our Response to God’s revelation can be a process - 15:2-3, 6, 10-11.

3) God's Declaration and Approval - v. 6

4) God’s guarantee of his Word, even though many negative things might happen in the meantime. In this, we break it into smaller segments... a) The Lord desires to reassure his people when they are in doubt about his promises (vv. 7-11); b) The fulfillment of the promises will be preceded by suffering and death (vv. 12-16).

Today, we cover the last aspect of this fourth point, namely that c) The Lord swears by himself that his promises will be realized. – vv. 17-21.

We delve deeper into the discussion of the unilateral aspect of the covenant, as well as the land boundaries that are specified here.
