This entire chapter addresses the topic of "A Covenant-Keeping God." 

We are governed by the idea that "We Must Respond Correctly to God’s Word!"

How can we respond correctly to God’s Word? We respond correctly to God’s Word by understanding 1. the nature of revelation, 2. Our trust in it. And today, we look at 3. God's Declaration of Approval, and begin to look at 4. God's guarantee of it.

We saw the first two in the previous episode:

1) God’s Word is Revealed – 15:1, 4-5, 7, 9-10, 13-16

2) Our Response to God’s revelation can be a process - 15:2-3, 6, 10-11.

Today we see 3) God's Declaration and Approval - v. 6

and we begin to look at 4) God’s guarantee of his Word, even though many negative things might happen in the meantime. In this, we break it into smaller segments... a) The Lord desires to reassure his people when they are in doubt about his promises (vv. 7-11); b) The fulfillment of the promises will be preceded by suffering and death (vv. 12-16).

There is a third segment to this final point, but that will be addressed in the next episode.
