Genesis 45 is a chapter of "Reconciliation and Hope."

In vv. 1-8 we learned that 1) Having a proper view of the Sovereignty of God will enable the believer to be reconciled with others.

In vv. 9-15 we see that 2) Forgiveness is the pathway to full reconciliation.

Then, in vv. 16-20 we learn that 3) God rewards his faithful servants.

In vv. 21-24 we see that 4) Believers should dutifully execute their new offices when they are given them.

And, in vv. 25-28 we learn that 5) Reconciliation provides hope.
