In this chapter we are learning about "The Pain of Sin."

In vv. 1-17 we learned that 1) God may test his people’s love and concern for others because of past sin.

Now, in vv. 18-34 se see that 2) True repentance will bring about a change in behavior when given the opportunity to sin again.
