In chapter 42, we are covering the narrative section where Joseph's brothers are driven to the land of Egypt because of the famine, and one of the themes that emerges is the idea that "Be Sure Your Sin Will Find You Out."

In vv. 1-5 we learn that 1) God uses natural circumstances to bring about his will.
