One of the things that we discover in the content of Gen. 36 is that this is a very prosperous land. We are going to examine that in light of the descendants of Jacob's brother, Esau.

In vv. 1-19 we learn that 1) God blesses Esau’s house. God is a God of detail.

Now, in vv. 20-43 we see that 2) God gave Esau incredible power over a land that was named after him.

Finally, in 37:1 we discuss the importance of the fact that 3) Jacob is dwelling in this same land.
