Vv. 1-30 tell us the story of "The Deceived Deceiver."

In vv. 1-14 we saw that 1) A walk of obedience will lead to God’s providential direction.

Now, in vv. 15-30 we learn that 2) God’s plans for his people may include periods of painful lessons and growth.
