In this section from vv. 27-34 we are looking at the topic of Esau despising his birthright.

We learn from this section that "The Believer should not live as a profane person." Why? The Text gives us three actions of the profane person. We examine the first in this episode.

In vv. 27-28 we see 1) The profane person lives a life of worldly freedom that is pleasing to the natural man.

Then, in vv. 29-33 we see 2) The profane person acts on impulse for the gratification of the natural appetites.

And, in v. 34 we learn that 3) The profane person has no regard for the things of God.
