Revelation 2:8-11 covers the topic of "A Costly Faith." We want to work with the idea that saving faith is costly.
In v. 8 we learn that 1) Saving faith was costly to obtain.
In v. 9 we learn that 2) Saving faith is costly in this life.
Under this we see that a) Believers experience suffering in this world.
Then we see starting in v. 10 that b) Believers can look forward to more suffering in this world.
We track back to v. 9b and see that c) Believers have something of great value in the midst of suffering.
Then, in 10c we see d) Believers have a purpose for suffering.
And, in 10d we learn that e) Believers have a command in the midst of suffering.
Finally, in vv. 10e-11 we learn that 3) Saving faith is infinitely rewarding.
