In Revelation 3:1-6 we are looking at "The Church That Was Mostly Dead." As we work through these verses we will be governed by the idea that We must be willing to fight for the Gospel! To this, we might ask: "What motivation do we have to fight for the Gospel?"

In v. 1 we learned that 1) Christ has the authority and power to judge the church.

In vv. 2-3 we started to learn that 2) We are commanded to fight for the Gospel.

In vv. 2-3a we saw that a) God call his own to persevere.

Now, in v. 3b we learn that b) God warns of sudden judgment for lack of repentance.

Finally, in vv. 4-6 we see that 3) We are Rewarded for fighting for the Gospel.

In v. 4 we see a) Those who persevere through apostasy will be with christ.

And in vv. 5-6 b) Fidelity to Christ brings his personal guarantee of life.
