In Revelation 3:1-6 we are looking at "The Church That Was Mostly Dead." As we work through these verses we will be governed by the idea that We must be willing to fight for the Gospel! To this, we might ask: "What motivation do we have to fight for the Gospel?"

In v. 1 we learned that 1) Christ has the authority and power to judge the church.

Now, in vv. 2-3 we learn that 2) We are commanded to fight for the Gospel.

In vv. 2-3a we see that a) God call his own to persevere.
