In Revelation 3:1-6 we are looking at "The Church That Was Mostly Dead." As we work through these verses we will be governed by the idea that We must be willing to fight for the Gospel! To this, we might ask: "What motivation do we have to fight for the Gospel?"

In v. 1 we learn that 1) Christ has the authority and power to judge the church.

In the first part of the verse we see that a) Christ has ultimate authority and power.

Now, in the second part of the verse we learn that b) The local pastor must be willing to receive an honest assessment of his church.
