How I Made It Through

This podcast was born out of the experience of bearing witness to pain and suffering; my own, and those I counsel and coach. My life’s work requires holding sacred space for stories of hardship and trauma and facilitating a loving process of finding one's way back to wholeness, because much like the words of Robert Frost, “The best way out is always through.” How I Made It Through is offered as a survival guide of sorts; both as inspiration and encouragement to speak our truth, feel our feelings and share our unique and unifying stories of struggle, strife, and the emotional and spiritual transformation that often occurs. This podcast openly talks about the hard stuff: things like depression, loneliness, grief, anxiety, shame, betrayal, and anger. It is premised on the belief that when we acknowledge and honor our feelings - when we tell our stories - they can serve as the invitation to our healing and liberation, and more deeply unite us in our shared humanity. In each episode, our guests bravely share their own stories of struggle, revealing the life-changing lessons they've learned along the way. Each story serves to amplify these lessons, nudging each one of us closer to our own path of self-discovery, self-compassion, and - ideally - a path that increases our capacity to experience joy, courage and connection.
