Communication is a skill that you can learn. It’s like riding a bicycle or typing. If you’re willing to work at it, you can rapidly improve the quality of every part of your life. Brian Tracy

Communication is one of the most important life skills. Effective communication is two sided. It is sharing our thoughts and feelings with another and having the other understand accurately what we are saying. Most of our waking life is spent sending or receiving information. Yet we do not think to improve our skills, either in conveying our thoughts or in understanding the thoughts of others. Even more, with the proliferation of acronyms and abbreviations used in social media, a new language has been created. But only a very small amount of communication is verbal. Most communication happens through tone of voice and gestures, both of which are missing in social media. Poor communication can cause misunderstandings and conflict.
