DJ Latam

Latam first played music at a party in 2004 in circumstances rather unexpected, going with the flow in a synchronistic situation. He had no serious prior plan to become a DJ though he was very passionate about electronic music in general and goa psytrance in particular. Nonetheless, after a period of learning and practice, encouraged by things going constantly up, he decided to give up any other business and commit to everything related to music and dancing. Curious to experiment, he started to gradually explore more and more the multitude sub-genres of electronica, playing in parallel for some years psy, trance, techno, electro, progressive, house, chill-out, in various forms.

Now he is focusing on the groovy hypnotic side of psychedelic trance, with a versatile approach that can vary depending on the party profile, audience, location or hour. BPM is more often than not around 135-148, but can go above or below. As a trademark, he is good at building bridges between different styles and tempos, something that can have a lot of value for a line-up flow. Every now and then you can hear him also mixing downtempo in an eclectic chill fashion at the alternative stages. In addition, he has an alter-ego called Fractaliceanu for faster darker psytrance, and another avatar, Blooni, with whom he ventures into deep techno territories.

Besides DJing, Latam is involved in organizing and promoting events through Thrancians organization that he manages, plus Unda and Spacesheep associations, being a co-organizer of Waha and Rebirth festivals which featured legendary names like Juno Reactor, Astral Projection, Psykovsky, Kindzadza, Sensient, Son Kite, Atmos, Ticon, X-Dream, Etnica & Pleiadians, Cosmosis, Banco De Gaia, Dickster, etc. He has collaborated and partnered with many different international and local crews also.

Over the years he performed at numerous events, from big festivals to small underground gatherings or private parties, in various locations and venues around the world in countries like Germany, France, England, Portugal, Austria, Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, Panama, Denmark, Serbia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Norway, Malta, Ukraine, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Republic of Moldova, Crimea, Romania.
