Tatiana Androsov has been writing since she was 10 years of age when she was locked up in her parents apartment and was given a type writer as a gift. Her books are not based on research but on the experience she gathered living and working in different parts of the world with people from the four corners of the globe in various United Nations organizations and missions. What do you do after you have lived and worked on four continents among some of the richest and poorest people of the world? What can you tell after you have been a ‘worker bee’ in the ‘motley crew’ of the United Nations going back half a century, in the New York skyscraper headquarters with reports of the effects of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, on a dirt floor in Prey Veng, Cambodia preparing for elections, in a cabin interpreting ministers of commerce in Geneva, or talking to people in a village in South Africa as the chief of voter education for the observation mission that saw Mandela elected as President? Well, you write novels and you start bringing them out, so that you who hear, see and read will not only smile and cry but learn from the heartfelt efforts of those who have always cared. I am a new novelist at 72 but an old hand in international matters, I will focus for the coming year on the human aspects of the United Nations system, as the UN celebrates its 75th birthday.Tatiana is available for podcast guest appearances via Zoom and conference calls.
