The Abstract Veterans

Join Veteran Char Gatlin and Dr. Ron Seel for episode 1 of season 1 of The Abstract Veteran Series, a special feature of The Abstract Doctors podcasts, as they welcome Assistant Professor, Psychiatry UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences, Dr. Erica Kornblith. Char has been active reviewing Department of Defense research grants for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program and other organizations as a consumer reviewer. Char currently serves as the co-chair of the Consumer Advisory Board for the LIMBIC-CENC. He also is highly active in the greater Montana community, serving on multiple boards and committees including serving as the Vice Chair for the Foundation for Community Health and a consumer advisor for the Neural Injury Center at the University of Montana. He is also a member of numerous academic health grant and scholarship committees on both local and national levels. Kevin Sickinger, MS, LTC (Retired), is the Director of the Coordinating Center for LIMBIC-CENC Consortium. He has worked for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine for over seven years and has served in several roles within the CENC and LIMBIC-CENC Consortiums. He came to VCU after serving in the Army for 23 years and has been working with military service organizations and veterans since his retirement from the Army.
