What is 7minutes.net? 7minutes.net is a blog, cov­er­ing a range of top­ics about people and com­munity, and largely from a Christian world view.

7minutes is divided into three areas:

The 7minute Blog is about life; how we see each other and com­mu­nic­ate, how we behave, on our own and in com­munity. It’s about social trends. It’s not psy­cho­logy or anthro­po­logy since those things are best left to experts. It’s just based on obser­va­tion, exper­i­ence, and word of mouth.

The 7minute Audio is based on Christian truths, and is in audio format because these are mostly taken from local radio broad­casts I have made with RefreshFM over the past 3 years or so. As a Christian pod­cast it tries to deal with mat­ters of faith, eth­ics, and scrip­ture (the Bible).

The third area, the 7minute Stumble con­tains pieces from other web­sites, acknow­ledging their sources of course. These are well writ­ten art­icles and blogs deal­ing with sim­ilar sub­ject mat­ter, and which pass the “7minutes test”… life and truth in bite-sized chunks.

The over­rid­ing aim behind 7minutes is to give you the vis­itor some­thing to think about, some­thing to chal­lenge, maybe amuse, refresh, or inspire, but to do this in a few minutes, bite-sized chunks. Everything on this site is designed to be read or listened to in a few minutes; on aver­age, 7.
