Several other sub-scales can be utilized to rate where Despotism is likely go in the future. A community rates low on the information scale when press, e.g. radio stations, and other channels of communication are controlled only by a few people and when citizens have to accept uncritically what they are told. In communities of this kind Despotism stands a good chance. To the extent that this condition exists throughout the nation, the likelihood of Despotism is increased
