The Sigma Dad Podcast

Welcome to The Sigma Dad Podcast. Have you ever wondered where you fit in amongst other males? Have you always been slightly misunderstood by others except for a select few? In the male socio sexual hierarchy there are levels that exist beginning with the Alpha male at the top, followed by the Beta, Delta, Gamma and Omega males. Just outside of this hierarchy exists the Sigma male, right near the top next to the Alpha. Who is the Sigma Male? The Sigma is essentially an “introverted alpha”. This enigmatic man has puzzled many that encounter him, while leaving others wanting to know more about him. Enter this podcast. I have been on a recent journey of self-discovery into what my next move in life was going to be since my retail retirement, and I stumbled across the term “sigma male”. As I went down this rabbit hole and learned more about this breed of man, I reflected on my life (Sigma males are also very introspective) and began to realize that I AM A SIGMA MALE. Since learning more about this male archetype, it has allowed me to gain a better understanding of the many complex layers that make up the Sigma Male. The other part is that is has helped me to grow as a man, husband, and father. This podcast will teach you about sigma males, from the perspective of a sigma. Most of what I’ve come across explains what traits the sigma male has, and how they think and act, but there really isn’t much perspective FROM a sigma out there…UNTIL NOW!!! One of the goals of this podcast is to demystify some of what makes a sigma tick, so that people on the outside looking in, can gain a better understanding of us. Another layer to this podcast will be the other side of me that is a HUGE GEEK and I hope to discuss some of this as well. Some of the examples will come directly from some of my favorite comics, movies, anime games, etc. I want to find the other sigma males out there who may have known that you weren’t exactly an Alpha, but you KNOW you’re not a Beta and the others don’t even apply. It must be somewhere I fall. As humans truthfully, we want to belong to SOMETHING. My fellow sigma males, I KNOW YOU ARE OUT THERE, and I want this to be the platform where you can get the answers to some of those internal questions that you always ask yourself. I want this podcast to inspire you to reach to be the best version of you!
